A Hounslow woman who lived in a shop has been fined £1,500 after failing to comply with a council enforcement order.
Mariam Zaheer Sajjad, of Thornbury Road, converted a shop into a home without planning permission and continued to live in the property against the wishes of the council.
She was taken to court and fined the sum plus costs of £1,260. She was ordered by the court to stop using the property for residential purposes.

Miss Sajjad will also be required to remove a brick wall and UPVC door that she installed at the front of the property and re-instate the original glazed shop window.
Councillor Barbara Reid, the council's lead member for planning, said:"Planning regulations are there for a reason, and anyone who thinks they can simply disregard them and get away with it is very mistaken."
