The Fijian Army side ran out comfortable winners at the Rosslyn Park London floodlit sevens, beating holders Harlequins 31-12 in the final.

Played on a balmy evening in south-west London, the army side romped through their pool games before brushing aside London Irish in their semi-final.

Quins, who fielded a handful of first-team players, including Andy Gomarsall, outscored Saracens in their semi after advancing through their pool.

Rosslyn Park coach Chris Kibble, who saw his side eliminated after falling to London Irish and Oxford University, felt the Army side were worthy winners.

"They were a different class, truth be told," said Kibble.

"Their skills were excellent and they gelled very quickly.

"It was a fantastic event overall - we were blessed with great weather, there was a great crowd and some fantastic rugby by all of the sides involved."
